Creating Case Definitions in the WKS Platform
This guide outlines the steps required to create case definitions using the WKS Platform's user interface (UI).
1. Access the Case Definition Page
- Log in to the WKS Platform.
- Navigate to the Administration or Configuration section.
- Click New Case Definition or a similarly named option.
2. Define Basic Information
On the case definition creation page:
- Enter a unique Key to identify the case definition.
- Provide a Name and an optional Description to help distinguish it from others.
3. Configure Case Variables
- List the variables to be used in the case.
- Specify the Name, Data Type, and any other relevant attributes for each variable.
- Mark whether each variable is Required or Optional.
4. Create Case Milestones
- Identify key milestones in the case lifecycle.
- Define each milestone’s Name, Description, and any Deadlines or Trigger Conditions.
- Set up milestone Order and Dependencies, if needed.
5. Design Case Activities
- Define tasks or actions that move the case forward.
- Provide an Activity Name, Description, and any related Deadlines, Forms, or Rules.
- Specify the Sequence and Dependencies of activities.
6. Configure Case Forms
- Identify the information to collect during the case lifecycle.
- Design and configure Forms for data input and display.
- Specify Fields, Validation Rules, and Layout for each form.
7. Define Case Rules
- Determine automation points or decision logic in the workflow.
- Create rules with specific Conditions and Actions.
- Set the criteria that trigger each rule.
8. Set Case Permissions
- Define user access and actions per role.
- Assign permissions for:
- Viewing
- Editing
- Completing
- Other custom operations
- Link each permission to the relevant User Role or User Group.
9. Review and Save
- Review all configuration elements.
- Confirm that everything is complete and accurate.
- Click Save to finalize and publish the case definition.
